Re: Google Chrome (3rd Sep 08 at 7:38pm UTC)
A couple of things that have been brought to my attention by a developer friend:

They have seemingly broken some webkit features (The rendering engine it uses.) CSS text shadow is no longer present, also PNG support seems poor, as does anti aliasing.

Apart from those, it's quite impressive. Wish i could expand the 'favourites' bar to a second row, that'd clinch it for me.

I was talking to a friend of mine today who's been having trouble running Google Chrome. Whenever he opened it, it would cause whatever other browser was open to crash.

@ Stormraven, have you actually managed to download and install it? I have heard reports of some downloads missing parts of the file so it might be worth trying to download it again.

Nope, I can download it, the first time i downloaded it was last night, last night i could download it and click on it, then it would bring up a box asking me if i wanted to run it, i pressed yes or run whatever the option was and thats as far as it went, nothing happened after that.

ive tryed to download it since then, im still able to download it now but when i click on it now not even the run button comes up, nothing comes up or happens anymore.

Google Chrome is working nicely on Vista as long as Firefox isn't open so far. I streamed a movie from Megavideo on Chrome, FF and IE...Chrome took five minutes, IE took forty six, FF is still loading the first part x_x.

That's not from Google Chrome, it's part of firefox {Tongue Out} . Apparently some firefox addons and features use it...

FireFTP, for example, is accessed using the "chrome://" module. {Wink}

My main issue with Google Chrome that I just stumbled across today is lack of plug-in support. I'm not sure about Flash and others, but I know for a fact that Java does not work in Google Chrome.
