I just think someone photoshop that on there lol.

One thing that makes me think it's fake is that rover cameras take HUGE pictures, with AMAZING quality. If you've ever downloaded one of the actual rover images, you'll see that they're hundreds of megabytes, sometimes gigabytes in size. The picture would not be blurred upon zooming in if this was real. {Unsure}

I read somewhere that the picture they discovered it on was one of those photos - hundreads of Megs, but they can't really put that up online anywhere as people trying to download it would bust their bandwidth {Tongue Out}

NASA? Bandwidth? Funny one. {Tongue Out} They have the largest image on the internet on their site available for download; it's like 3GB in size. {Tongue Out}

But yes, I suppose they would have compressed it to make it more user-friendly.

It's also possible that the first image has already been zoomed in. Even with a high resolution there's only s far you can zoom in before it'd start to get blurry.

i agree with most at a distance it could be mistaken for a person/thing. But the zoomed pic to me shows it's clearly a rock formation.

coming soon

It looks like it could be a life form, though it could also just be a shadow or a rock, so I don't know.

I'm open to the possibility for life forms around our solar system, but I feel that if this were actually believed to be a life form, it would have made bigger news.

I agree; sounds to me as something NASA's PR team made available just to get people talking, and get more money donated to the space programs. {Tongue Out}

Who cares now? {Tongue Out} NASA is closing down in two years.

Damn it. NASA withdrew that statement. They announced a few years ago, it hit front page news here in the US that they would close due to lack of funding in 2010. Apparently the government extended it, and a new shuttle will be launched in 2014.

I think it's just some guy sitting on a rock. But I'd be willing to go to Mars. What if they had life on mars? Like you can go inside the Planet like Earth? Because we have skies. And on Mars they had whatever Earth had in real life. That'd be so Awesome! {Grin}
