Hmm, your best bet would be to find a boot disk, and then check online for instructions on how to format your drive using command line functions.

There is nothing I can do, I can't even get into the command prompt. so Im erasing everything, I clicked on the erase hard disk, then when that is done in 4 hours, then it will add the correct things in, and add the OS, because it said it could not find it.

Which is why I said look for a boot disk. Boot disks generally have command prompts built in to them, so that you can fix things from there.

I didnt get a boot disc? so how will I find one? unless I go to the store and buy it but like I said I have no money.

EDIT:

Oh I did find the command prompt earlier but there are no files. It just shows a blank screen and with no blinking cursor text thing.

Did you have a backup of your files? In my view just wiping the slate clean, as it were is the only thing to do as long as you've got any important files/music saved elsewhere. Losing the files is a massive pain - if i lost my music on it i'd be gutted {Sad}

You could also use this opportunity to invest in a brand new, bigger hard drive {Grin}

It can't find my operating system, How will I be able to get the OS in? The recovery disc's one work, they keep on saying ERROR every time it is almost done either deleting or reformatting.

Ouch {Sad} The 2 gigs aren't too bad to replace as long as you have them all on disk {Tongue Out} The security numbers could be a pain though >.<

I have them all on my jump drive. so my music and security numbers are all safe.

Ok I found the command prompt, and this is what comes up

x:\sources\recovery\tools>

What am I supposed to with this?

Type in "format /?" and hit enter. A list of options will come up. I believe you'll have to enter something like "format C /V:DRIVE_LABEL /Q", but I'm not 100% sure. Enter "format /?" first to be sure. {Smile}

that did not work. I am currently on the phone with Toshiba, and they said that my hard drive is damaged.
