I'll be waiting until I have a reason to upgrade to Windows 7  Although when I do have a need (such as needing it for specific software or if one of my current machines dies) I won't mind upgrading to Windows 7. When I brought this laptop I went to great lengths to get one with XP rather than Vista. | |

I was getting sick of XP anyways, somehow it would mess up something. And funny thing about all of this, the last month and a half my DVD drive stops working wouldn't show up in Computer, nor the BIOS. But when my friend brought the package over, it started to work. I was so confused, but happy at the same time, and it's still working too! | |

We are still on XP at work too, we're not upgrading yet | |

You know if you install over the current OS, it'll make a Windows.old file in the c drive. I forgot some pictures I had on Windows XP, and I was able to get it from the windows.old file. But those were only a few KB files, not sure about bigger files. I guess it's "At your own risk" type of thing. | |

Vista's great, Like any OS, it's Unique in it's own way.
i've had Windows 7 Ultimate, full build for a long while Its nice having friends in some high places oh and yea i love it, its great!
Of course it is. I could have gotten it WAY before the official release date. But wasn't gonna risk that, and a virus that'll wreck my computer. | |

Nice, I think that's what this one is, it asked me if I wanted to install x86 or x62, and of course I chose x86. is your build 7600? or is there no other build numbers? and why are there different build numbers? | |
