What exactly is this based on? Something other than the status page I hope (the information there is not accurate and doesn't truly represent server usage). I've just spent some time viewing various forums (small and large) and noticed no issues with loading or response times - in fact everything seemed lightning fast. Do let me know if you are experiencing something different.
We do monitor our servers and will take steps, when they are needed, to alleviate load issues. That can either be by upgrading the server to something more powerful or just moving the heavy users to another server. But nothing suggests to me that that is needed at the moment?

I am also not sure, but I think the graphics, or at least something is wrong. (I'll show you in a sec) Because after all of vForums went down the other day (Even using the .virtualforums.co.uk links did not work) some unusual things have been happening. Like the forums loading quite slow, the API system not wanting to work, and giving errors, even though it was working fine. (It's working now, but the site (not forum) is loading quite slow, and it's not my host.)
This is what it shows in every thread on every forum (Where the arrow is at the bottom):

It's a bit difficult to explain but it has a bug. What it is effectively showing is the maximum memory usage that server has had rather than its' current usage. The only way to reset the counts is to restart the server.
What server is the API on? As it has been running slow, and last night it showed us (Dwight and I) a few errors, and later it sorted out.
The API and the forums run on the same machine. We are considering a future implementation which would make use of a separate machine/setup but that is a long way off.
A small issue with the colspans. Fixed.

That error suggests to me a problem with your host being unable to resolve your forum URL. I'd try checking with them what DNS servers they are using. Many people recommend using the Google DNS, I have them setup on one server I manage and they seem to be doing a good job there. | |

Is your host the same person as your registrar? Most registrars allow you to keep your nameservers with them and just use MX/A records to point traffic to your host(s) (although that is often a more complicated set-up than using your hosts nameservers). If your host and registrar are the same person then there are other services which offer nameserver hosting but there's normally a fee associated with it (I did see a free one the other day which is still in beta though)

When using GoDaddy, if you are using an external host, the forward all the DNS settings to that host's control, and since my host wont contact me back, i need to fine an alternative way to edit my DNS. One thing I liked about using yahoo for as my Registrar is they kept hold of the DNS so i could edit it at all time.. | |

1. Is there anyway to fix the bug
2. Is this a problem on all servers, or just the ram usage on server 1?
3. And server 2 is "Busy" but has low Ram and CPU usage, is that a bug too? | |

For me, I use a secure dns which is, Comodo firewall. It functions properly on my iPod, so I can only assume it's comodo. I've used google in the past. So I'll give it a try. Not sure if comodo will allow me to change dns, but hopefully it will, if not I'll flush the dns, and see how that works. | |

DS had problems all the time when I had it hosted with them, which is why I changed hosts. I know they say its not their DNS, but when every site they host causes a DNS problem, it just means they are ignorant and refuse to look into the problem since they ain't getting paid to do so..

Normally either both are really low, the hosts are fake, or they don't have enough bandwidth to support the running site. If you look for a new host, make sure they have cPanel 11, that way I can just make a backup of everything and run the backup on the new host. | |
