CPU is how much of the CPU is being used.
Memory Usage is how much of the Hard Disk is used I think. Although, it could be RAM, depends if Ross names it by standards (RAM) or not. {Tongue Out}

Simply put CPU usage is how busy the machine is (i.e. how many things it's trying to do at once) and RAM usage is how much space it takes up when working. If there are more programs open on your computer, they may not be doing anything but they are still taking up RAM just by being there. Hopefully you've at some point made some observations on what affects RAM usage and CPU usage using the task manager on your own computer. If not, I would advise you give it a try.

Different systems have different methods of handling high CPU and memory usage. Typically what would happen if either of them goes to 100% and stays at 100% is that forum access will be a lot slower. It likely can take a lot more than that before the server will actually go down. If there is consistently high usage over a long period of time, Ross may need to look into putting some forums on new servers.

Ok, thanks, if the Ram usage gets to high, will you buy more RAM, or a new server? And why is the "Status" always yellow for the forum server?
