Invision and vBulletin offers a dohtml option. I would like to suggest an option to use dohtml within posts. ^^.

Oh that. I really did not like that when I test drove Invision before I found this place.

My only wory with it would be: would it be used enough to make it worthwhile?

Allowing users to use any form of HTML in their posts would be a security risk I'm not willing to let other users be at risk of.

Just to elaborate, the only way that this would be allowed would be if certain tags were blocked (such as iframe, frame, etc) -- the remaining tags are all possible through UBBC anyway, thus making HTML unnecessary.

Well I can see a use for HTML in general via advanced formatting for a thread. It work great if you where using the API to call threads, that way you can have them appear in a custom format.
