pmvForum | PM Options (26th Jan 08 at 5:19pm UTC) | | I think some PM options that would be awesome are:
1) Auto-replier... Perhaps if you're not there you could have it automatically reply to PMs with a message. 2) Email on New PM - I use this alot on some forums I go to... Really helpful! 3) Ignore list, though I have yet to use it, I know some people that swear by it... ignoring PMs from people is something that would be useful 4) an option to have: a pop-up box displayed OR the link 'no new private messages' colour changed (to a chooseable colour by the member) or BOTH... when there is a new PM.. I would definitely use the latter, and I know people would use the former. Some people might want to use both? An advantage is that it doesn't have to be added to a skin, so if members don't want it, they can keep it the same colour.

pmwwwgtalkvForum | Re: PM Options (27th Jan 08 at 1:15am UTC) | | Not quite what I meant I'm working on a Ajax based notification but am not sure if it'll be worth it or not. It's putting quite a lot of extra stress on the server and browser for very little functionality. I might revert to just a standard check when the page loads.

pmvForum | Re: PM Options (27th Jan 08 at 1:19am UTC) | | I think that's probably best... as that's all that people need. There's no need to have it check if the page hasn't been reloaded.
So long as I get the email notification I'll you!

I just need to remember to remove my code from the database when the update occurs.
