A partial rewrite of existing template systems & the addition of a couple of extra ones | | The plan is to implement templating systems for a couple of extra sections. At the moment, these new ones will most likely just be for board listings & topic listings as I feel those are a couple of the more difficult sections to customize with just javascript.
But what I would like to try and improve on would be how easy all the templating systems are to manage and use. As normal, I've got a few ideas of my own on what needs changing but I'd like to hear some of your thoughts on what extra functionality you'd like to see in the near future  | |

Only advice is when your doing board remodel and main Rpofile remodle you be alittle picky on little thing, like say recent posts

something like that.
Also for date and such maybe something like {userrecent_time:dd-mm-yy} so it can be adjusted, for other things even. If you need any layout ideas for the Main Profile as default ones that aren't custom, poke me, iv done several for the-forum-that-shall-not-be-named | |

Multiple skin support is being considered. I've just not decided how yet.
Are export/import really needed? It's just text and maybe a couple of settings which would need to be copied over. The big argument for doing it with skins was that you have to copy & paste up to 150 different urls, settings or colors. I thought people could cope with just 3 or 4? Although I suppose it could be built into the skin import/export. Or is that what you meant to start with? | |
