That's the kind of thing I meant when I said changing it to a friendlier error message - something which tells the user what is going on. Unfortunately the only Internet access I have at the moment is via work so it'll have to wait until our new modem arrives and I have enough time to fix the things like this  | |

Have you tried to replace it completely with you friendly message?
I've added in some extra debugging so that when an error occurs it'll store a few more details in the error log. Hopefully that'll help me pinpoint how to check if the error is being caused by the backup or not. | |
