Announcements (21st May 08 at 11:59pm UTC)
Resolved
http://freunion.vforums.co.uk

For some Reason I can't remove an announcement, I go to modify and uncheck "Make Announcement" button and it still is showing up as an announcement.

Darkmage

EDIT:
1) Also when I move a topic from a board it shows up in the board that I moved the topic too, but on the board it shows No recent posts. so I have to all the time use the Fix a board.

2) when someone posts and I click on the link on the right side of the screen, were it shows the date, topic name and topic starter/poster on the main page, the On icon still stays on instead of switches to the off button. and I have to go directly into the board itself and see that there is nothing new, and go back to the home page, and then the on icon is now off.

I don't have time to look into the first one right now, but regarding your edits:

1) I believe Ross is aware of this, I'm not sure [he may have been talking about something else], but I believe he's working on this. {Smile}

2) Most forum providers are like this, as there may sometimes be more than one new posts in a board, so it's easier to just have the query run on the main board page. {Wink}

The fact that the board only displays as old once you've visited the main board page isn't a bug; most forum providers are coded that way as it's more reliable.

Oh ok, well at times it really gets annoying. Even when I Mark Boards as read, it still shows up as new.
