My first laptop ^_^ (4th Jan 08 at 8:33pm UTC)
I soon will be getting a laptop. I should be getting it Monday Night, I already got the router. It is going to be an Acer 14" Vista Home basic, for $498.95. This is all I can afford as of right now, I really wanted Vista Home Premium, but that one costs $100 more {Sad} . I really cant wait. I will be getting my own computer soon. and its going to be REALLY fast as I got the Belkin N Router which is 40x the speed. ^_^. I wish I had a picture of it, I would show it.

Well, smallness is kinda needed for portability issues {Tongue Out}

I need one for when I get back to writing my book and coding. That way I can be more relaxed in my bed or on the couch or something. Plus warmness = good thing.. Unless it explodes or the like

Acers are not actually bad, My school has Acer Desktop computers for about 2 years now, they run perfect, and are fast. but they only run on XP {Tongue Out} , which I use XP here at home, But I herd that Vista's Security, is now better, and it runs mega tons faster then XP.

No not really, My friend has a Vista Laptop Home Premium, he brought it to school, and I tested it out at lunch, the connection speed was faster, then the computers at school, and I looked at the security, and they did not have to have another fire wall like Nortan, McaFee etc, the Windows Fire wall, is very customizable, and easy to use. and sure XP, has good security, but you need additional software just to keep your computer safe from harmful attacks.

But what you see is your own opinion, and what I say is my own opinion.

Thats your own Opinion, there is nothing that will stop me from liking Windows, nor Vista. Sure I did not like Vista when it came out at first with all the security holes, but its been a couple of years now, and they fixed it.

If Vista runs slower for you than XP, then your computer just doesn't have the proper requirements. One of Microsoft's main concerns when working on Vista was to increase the speed, while using up less RAM.

XeroCint, give me a list of everything you do not like about Vista. Everybody I know who originally hated Vista could not give me a reason that I could not defend and/or prove wrong.

Its so effin slow, none of my programs would load up on it, it was slow, it was like anti-minimalistic, half of the time I tried to do something with it it crashed, and it was slow.
