It's very sad wat happened on 9/11. wats even sadder is that some pple have already moved on with there life, and now do not care anything about it. 9/11 should always be rememberd as one of the biggest tradgeties in history. Lets make this thread a discussion about it. I know it's a very strong topic, but please try to keep from going crazy with anger. Heres a video of 9/11, the song is Creed-one. EDIT:Thanks Marc

Don't forget there are 2 world wars also. There's also Ashwitz (spelling?) that was a tragedy... I have to strongly disagree that it's the biggest tragedy.

Sure it was devastating, but if you compared it to other things in history, it's not entirely that bad. I think the Trail of Tears is probably one of the worst. Native Americans were forced to walk I think 2,000 miles, and many died. If those people weren't killed we could of known more about the Native Americans. We've got plenty of Americans now and yeah, loosing lives sucks and all, but it's nothing that should be considered the biggest tragedy. As for the whole moving on thing, it's better that way. I'm not saying forget about 9/11, I'm just saying it's nothing that should make us live in fear, and keep mourning over the ones who died. Our we going to spend the rest of our lives regretting not telling someone to leave? I know I'm not going.

I agree, I'd say its bad. Look at all the Americans who died. Not only that, look how many people had to suffer the loss of their loved ones.

I do feel bad for the people who died, but if you compared it to the other tragedies that have happened it's not as bad as it comes out to be :/ Also if those families are still mourning year round thats really pathetic in my opinion. I've lost plenty of family members, and I barely ever think about it. We should probably be caring more about the lives being lost over seas right now instead.

We'v all lost family members, but did you loose your family to a Terrorist attack? when pple die it's either because there old or sick, and in that case there family had time to spend with them before they went, the pple of 9/11 had no idea of that happeneing, therefor, did not get to say goodbye to there loved ones. Edit:I think this has turned into a debate.

Did you lose your family to a dictator who wanted to eliminate an entire 'race' because they were who they were? Did you lose your family because the U.S. Government wanted to eliminate Native Americans so they set them on a 2,000 mile walk to land that would still be stolen from them? Did you lose family because even though after a war they suffered from radiation? Compare the numbers. It isn't as bad as it's made out to be. Plus if the incidents above were forgotten and they were worse than 9/11 I think this can be somewhat forgotten throughout the year except on 9/11.

Having family kill family is terrible. We are sad over this and I agree that it was horrible but there is more horrible ones. I agree that there is more horrible wars and stuff in american though then that.

Yeah, I just threw in a few tragedies forgot about the Civil War even though its the topic in my history class. The Civil War alone had more lives lost then like 4 wars combined. Not too sure which ones they are though. My history teacher said the whole family fighting family did happen and thats how the song "Taps" came about, but other than that it wasn't something that happened a lot.
