What programs do you use for web design?

Personally I use:

  • Dreamweaver CS4

  • Flash CS4

  • 1st JavaScript Editor
What about you?

Depends on where i am

If i'm at home then i'll use
Photoshop CS3
Illustrator CS3
Swich Max 2 (far easier to use than Flash, IMO even though i have it)
Dreamweaver CS3
Notepad =P

If i'm at work then i'll use all the above, plus Fireworks 8. The more i use FW the more i like it, a lot easier to make interfaces with than PS.

Well for any coding I'll just use Notepad 2.
For slicing or editting a design template (which our designer would have created in Fireworks CS4) I'll use Fireworks 8.
For changing or working with an individual image I'll use the GIMP.
And for FTPing it onto the servers I use Smart FTP.

Half of the software I'm using there is free {Tongue Out}

Can FW 8 read things created in CS4? I know at work we're having trouble with InDesign (one person uses CS3, while another uses CS) so i didn't know if it was the same as FW.

I think the only problem we really have is the lack of pages in version 8. So if the designer does 4 different pages in CS4, he has (or I have to) save each one as a seperate file so that fireworks 8 can read it. Otherwise version 8 can only see the first page. But other than that, I can't think of any problems {Smile}
