The info center template works in pretty much the same way as the one for the mini-profile allowing you to change the HTML for the info center layout. This allows you to remove anything you don't want in the info center as well as add your links etc. The [flash] tags must be enabled in general settings before they can be used. They allow users to include flash movies (such as those from YouTube) as part of their post using [flash width=100 height=100]File URL[/flash] The width and height are optional, just like they are for the [img] The "Merge Topics" ability is only available to those with access to "Multi-Topic Moderation". It enable two or more threads to be merged into one. All posts will stay in the order they were made and will be inserted into whichever topic was posted first.
