Templating System Changes (25th May 08 at 11:49am EDT) Details on some changes and some improvements made to our templating systems
Our templating systems are undergoing a rewrite to make them even better and even more practical. At the moment we're performing some tests on this support forum to ensure that there's no bugs which were missed. When this is done we'll upload the changes to all existing forums.
Below are detailed the changes which have been made to the systems:
Board Listing Templates You'll be able to customise the template used for listing boards on the main page / as sub-boards. You'll be able to output all existing information as well as display information based on who it is viewed by (guest/member), which board it is and if the user has access to view it or not.
Topic Listing Templates You'll be able to customise the template used for listing all topics within each board. You can even specify special output depending on if the topic is locked, sticky or an announcement. There are also fields available so you can customise the headings in the bar above the list of topics.
In addition to this, you'll be able to specify different templates for different skins and will be able to use different templates in different boards.
Sounds awesome. Is it released then? I cna't see it in the admin panel!
