This would be good for Staff only boards, but what would be good is set it up like the Categories have:

Moderator
Veteran Member
Full Member
Regular Member
Junior Member
New Member
If you only want specific User groups or ranks to access this category (eg. an Administrators area) then tick the boxes next to the groups who should have access.
Yes I know you can make a Separate category for it, but if you want it placed in an Off-Topic area, then you can set it their.

that isn't even a suggestion....
I believe he wants to have it so you can select which user groups can see which boards, instead of only whole categories.
And quite clearly this was addressed at Ross.
This will be implemented (hopefully) at the end of the week sometime if I get the other related features finished. I've set it up so that you'll be able to give both posting and viewing permissions based on rank or user group on a per-board basis.

Yes. It'll be a similar system to that used for categories except it will control who can post topics, post polls and post replies as well as view the board.
