Do you label your layers? If so then do you do it after each layer or after a certain amount of layers?
Or Are you too lazy and don't feel the need to label them? Do you find it harder to find which layer is which?
I'll share my thoughts in a minute =)
I'm still a noob with PS and layers, but I do love layers, they help alot.
I generally don't, i'm the lazy person that forgets, then finds he has to show/reveal a layer to see what looks better - especially if i've done various designs of something and i want to compare them
It's something i need to remember more.
I label them if it's important to. I'll label them often in web concepts, forum concepts, etc. Also with my latest project I've labeled the layers.
PAH! No way!!! God its effort to do XD and me is lazy
I always club layers into groups and name them - its so much easier and more organized when u've run into 100+ layers.
Back when i was new to designing, i never found the purpose and the need to label my layers. But as i got better and my designs had +100 layers, i find that labeling will help you tremendously later. I even go to the extreme and color my layers. xD
Colour your layers? How much spare time do you have?
I label my layers sometimes, but most of the time i just group them or label the most important ones, since i can usually remember what i did when...
Very rarely will I label my layers. Even when getting up there in the layer count.

O_o How can you do anything without layers?
I dont. -.- Way to lazy. They'd help scrape lots of time if I did though.

Make a checkers board?
@marc: ROFL!
@sonic: I usually have alot of times where i am bored and have nothing to do. Plus it really gets me organized.
Surprised most of you guys dont label your layers.
Layers are awesome. I generally work with several on any picture that I edit.
They're especially helpfull when making .gif images.
I label my layers whenever it is an important project I'm working on or when I am creating a template for something. However if I'm just making something like an avatar, I don't label. I usually don't keep the PS file either.
Vey rarly will I label my layers. I'm just way too lazy to do so, and am usually doing other stuff. I just don't have time for it. That's what I like about text layers; it automatically shows up already labeled.I label my layers whenever it is an important project I'm working on or when I am creating a template for something. I detail them with what is on the layer, no more than that. I don't actualy give them proper names but I have like...
'Background Layer'
'C4D Layer' etc.
On my most recent attempt of making a lightsaber and trying a new tutorial it said it would be a good idea to lable them, so i tried, wats the difference if there named or not? really. "Layer 1" is just like if u named it "1"

It helps if you're making an image with plenty of layers and to remember which layer includes what aspect. I'm making a few web templates for clients and it helps when you know what the bg layer is, what layer the banner is on, the menu buttons etc.
