I still go for the latter, though the text does need a bit of work as the "forum" does begin to get lost in the background other than that, i quite like it

Well glad you like, and ya i have never been good with text, but i love the layout effect that i use for the text, it makes it look good.

I like the effect, and with a better font it'll complete it wonderfully How did you go about making the corner detail and the background effect?

I used Mandelbrot Fractal effect for the background and then just filled in with black in the blank areas, and i edited out the corners from an image i had found in yahoo images. So what font do you suggest for the text?


Edit: I use paint.net and the problem with it and its text is that all the text that it has looks like Arial, all exept for Segou which it cursive

Try Segoe UI.
