I have started making my code to remove the apps from Facebook!
I hate viewing people's profiles and having to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page to access their wall.
So I'm removing all the pointless ones!
Therefore:
Me - 1
Facebook - 0
Sounds pretty cool actually. I don't use facebook much, but the apps can be the thing that makes or breaks it!
Isn't it an oxymoron that you're creating an app to hide apps?
Who said it was an App?
It's a greasemonkey script!

Ahh, in that case, good job.
I don't mind applications, since under a user's Profile Picture it has links to everything on the page; all that bugs me are the emails that get sent, even after I disable them.
well it's just it takes too much time to get to their wall etc... I gotta work on the news feeds next to remove the apps from there.

You do know that clicking on the little image below their picture takes you directly to their wall, without having to scroll; right?
No i didn't.
I hate the apps anyway!
Some of the apps are alright, but it's when people keep asking me to become a vampire/race them/hug/kiss/spank/etc them. I've declined once, i'll keep declining.
One of my friends as over 100 of them on their profile

Well, at least Facebook has a "Block this app" feature. Shame that you have to manually do it for every app though.
To be honest, if I want an app, I'll use the search feature in the Application area.

I say if you can code it they will come.

Quite an interesting read. I had a look of some of the application puzzles that the news article linked to, and I think I'll try some.
snaps for wrighty!

^ Spam much?
I can't be bothered reading that huge article! >.<

Irony, actually.
The oxymoron would be the app. The action is just irony.
And I refuse to use facebook.
Something about putting the words social and website together just seems to make me laugh.

Sure.
Websites are forms of communication, true, but they are impaired forms of communication. The large pool of people to meet does not offset the disadvantage of not actually having met the person.
Also, they bastardize the term 'friend'. You do not have 200 'friends'. You have 200 people who could muster up the effort to click a link for you. If that's what a friend is to you, I suggest you log off and go spend some time outside.

What about the people who you actually are friends with? Many of the people i have as friends on my Facebook i socialise with on a regular basis
...
Then remind me what Facebook is for. xD

Personally, i use it as a tool to catch up with people whom i have lost contact with. I didn't get some peoples contact details when i left 6th Form and now Facebook, Myspace etc have allowed me to contact them again and rekindle the friendship i once had.
As for other peoples, probably to find out if they want to be a Pirate, or a Ninja etc
See, I've never moved, so anyone I lost contact with, I lost contact with for a good reason. And therefore, I have no need for Facebook. ^_^
