Site struggling ? * THIS IS NOT A FAKE MESSAGE (31st Oct 17 at 8:27am UTC)
Problems accessing our forum
FORUM not loading
Browsers - IE and Firefox

We have a small but active forum which has been in existence for a number of years. In the last few weeks it have been getting more and more difficult to get into it. It either hangs or just refuses to load. Is there a problem with the vforums set-up now ? I am aware the support site does not seem very active nowadays either.

I do hope vforums days are not numbered as a provider. Please advise. Thank you.

Same here. I hope the problem gets resolved. I was getting a "Can't access the DB" error.

Yep. Getting that as well as it just hanging or reverting to the previous web page I had open.
It's a little better this morning and yesterday morning but later in the day was no go again. Heavier internet traffic generally once the US wakes up? Who knows ?

I hope we can get some answer to this. We really don't want to lose our forum {Sad}

Looks as if we've been spammed. {Cry}

This is a bona fide request for the support team please.

Bringing the thread back to the top........

I'm getting this error on most attempts to connect:

Quote:
Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator at webmaster@localhost to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Firefox is also giving this message on some attempts to connect.

Quote:
Content Encoding Error

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.

Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

Yep. We are getting "internal server error" most times we try to connect, too.

It's frustrating. {Sad}

I couldn't connect at all yesterday. It's all just very slow right now.

I'm glad to see it's working, but it is a little slow. Perhaps the problem was a spam attack coinciding with Black Friday? Just a guess.
