pmskypemsnyahooxfire | Posting Template as a built in feature (20th Dec 09 at 7:12pm UTC) | | The way it should be built in is:
In forum settings turn feature on or off for whole forum
If on then you can turn it on for whichever boards it would be needed for and set it up on the boards that they are on like:
Posting Template: | | | • Off | º On | | | | | | Template Title | -text field- | | | | Template Description | -text field- | | • Disabled | º Enabled | | | | | | Topic Title | -text field- | | | | Topic Description | -text field- | | • Disabled | º Enabled | | | | | | -Field Name- | -Field Type- | -Field with optional value or set values if select field- | Required? | Description | -Field Name- | -Field Type- | -Field with optional value or set values if select field- | Required? | Description | -Field Name- | -Field Type- | -Field with optional value or set values if select field- | Required? | Description | | | | | | -New Field Button-
Field types: Text field Textbox Select field Check boxes Radio buttons Blank line
vF forums: Perfect World RP BLEACH Universe - Under Construction / Testing Phase Xen Qarna RP - Stage I Vyren Entar Battle Network RP - Under Construction / Maintenance Mode Enabled the Final Anime Hideout |

For someone like Ross, Marc, or Michael (Wrighty), recoding the posting template code should be rather easy. It wouldn't be hard to add an area within the admin panel that sets a global variable which tells the system is the code is enables and disabled. I'm sure even I could figure out how to do with it if I had the time to tamper with it.

pmvForum | Re: Posting Template as a built in feature (22nd Dec 09 at 10:05am UTC) | | As stated by Dwight, I think this adds more load to the backend because it has to deal with 10000000 different possibilities, whereas the predefined posting code simply deals with 1, and can be tweaked for the other 2.
If you need anything tweaking in a code, I'm happy to help - just PM me links to the coding board where your request/support is needed!
