Pm Notification (6th May 09 at 11:17pm UTC)
Ok in the PM notification i think it would be good to have it so when you click dismiss to makes the PM as read instead of leaving it unread...

oh yea that might help if i said why. Well first off if your using the PM Notification system, the odds are that you have already read the message, or ain't interested in whats its saying if you hit the dismiss button, so why woulds you still wnat it to say the message wasn't read. Personally it bugs me seeing the "New Pms: Blaa" and its even more annoying when i have to click into PM's i've already Dismisssed so that it will say that i've read them.

Send me a PM so I can check this out, never paid attention to that, besides read.

I see what you mean.

But it's still fine for me, as if I don't want to read it right away I don't have to, then when I see 1 unread pm I will go and read it.

The idea of dismiss is to say "Don't bother me with that now". Just because I dismiss the Pop-up, it does not mean I don't want to go back and read it later when I have a chance. If anything, you should be suggesting an extra button to mark it as read?
