Editing Problem in WYSIWYG (12th Aug 09 at 12:37pm UTC)
Got a problem in Firefox. I am not using a beta version. Using Windows Vista.

Step 1: Update via UBBC code: http://wimg.mp/wPA.png

Step 2: Press update, and HTML looks like gibberish: http://wimg.mp/gMZ.png

Step 3: Thread that I modified still displays old post content. When I press modify the post box is 100% blank. http://wimg.mp/pNm.png

Step 4: When press 'select all' funny things appear and code looks different with things changed around http://wimg.mp/v48.png

Step 5: Press modify again, everything is blank. http://wimg.mp/oI0.png

Thread is: http://timeless.vforums.co.uk/board/staff/topic/11/action/view_topic/code-for-time-frame

These constant WYSIWYG errors is pushing me away a bit. :3

There is an updated version of the WYSIWYG editor due to be released soon. Hopefully that will resolve your "issues" there. However I don't get what you're saying about, and certainly don't agree with, the comment about "constant errors". Yes this is an issue, but one directly linked to a specific UBBC tag which is very rarely used. And a fix for it will be implemented as soon as possible (I'd like to see other systems do that). I am not aware of any other "errors" that are down to faults in the software, I believe you're referring to cases of user error which would exist (and indeed do exist) in any visual text editor.

I'm sure many people will also be glad to hear that the newest version includes a way (of sorts) to post without anything being handled by the WYSIWYG editor. What happens is that when you click the "UBBC Editor" button you can edit the UBBC code (as usual) but along with the "Update" button there is a "Post" button which will post your UBBC version directly.

Anyway, I'm about to click the upload button for the support forum. If that all goes well, I'll be clicking the upload button for all other forums too {Smile}

Hey Ross!

http://support.virtualforums.co.uk/board/tests/topic/28186/action/view_topic/test#28186

I added the word cookies to the end. It ended up being bold, and the stuff in the code tags vanished when editing via the ubbc box and pressing 'post'.

Sorry for triple post:

But happened again. :[.

http://timeless.vforums.co.uk/action/modify_post/board/ads/topic/21/post/21/page/1

Shows up blank to me. :[. And cannot edit even via the ubbc screen.

Edit: It also reversed my a href="" target="_blank"

I fixed it manually by disabling javascript.
