Manage Forums Permissions - Boards (16th Jul 09 at 3:15am UTC)
Resolved
http://freunion.vforums.co.uk/

When I try to hide a board from all members (including admin group) and press save, and go to home, the board still shows. When I go back to Manage Forum Permsissions  - Boards it's not unchecked/Red, but it's Checked and Green. Even though I double checked it, and got the confirmation of "Your forum permissions has been successfully saved."

FireFox 3.5
Linux Ubuntu 9.04

Could you tell us which board you're trying to hide? Just so that Graham can take a look at your settings for you! {Smile}

Sure
http://freunion.vforums.co.uk/board/signup

the board only shows the child boards, I want the whole thing hidden.

I could delete it, but I do not want to. I may use it for later usage.

Let me get this right - you don't want it visible to any member group at all, and not visible on the main page?

Invisible to all, just to shorten the forum up a bit. Like I said before, I don't want to delete it, because I could use it for later usage if needed to be.

Check these out:

Why didn't you just 'hide' the board like i did - in the board setting, change the 'display board' to 'never'.

Because I forgot about that part....

But why wouldn't it work in the forum permissions?

Oh and thanks. {Smile}

If I remember rightly, all boards are visible to the main admin, irrespective of anything except the 'hide board' {Smile}

Oh ok I see. But why wouldn't it save in the first place? You can see that in the pictures a few posts above.
