Love the banner and menu buttons. They look nice and matching.

What I don't like though is the background. It kinda cuts out. Nice forum anyway I give it a 9/10 {Grin} Can't see ubbc and smilies though.

I really like it. The background could be a bit bigger, but its alright. The banner I really like. It compliments the forum. I simply like the Board Shadow, makes it look really cool.

I can see you really worked hard on this. You gave it your best effort. And I say it great.

9.5/10

(I should strip down my Design forum, re-do it make it look better, then re-open it. Thanks for the inspiration! ^_^)

I really like the banner and and the infusion of the menu icons. I always think that that looks really cool and shows the ability to manipulate the arrangement to how you like. The shadow feature for the boards is cool, and I like the watercolor 'Visual Arts' in the plain background. Overall the skin looks great and is a good representative of your abilities as a design forum.

As for the content, it looks pretty well done. Though, for the Designer Resources board, i think you mean upload in the description, not download. As for originality, its all about doing your own thing and having your own contests. Especially for a design forum.

8/10 Good luck. {Smile}

My area of expertise if I may say so.
This skin is intriguing but nothing really terribly special on the design stage.

Ok, so the banner and general flow of the forum is very nice, I myself have trouble pulling of this style of design and you have done it reasonably well (better than myself at least). However, there are still a few flaws. With the banner stretching the whole width of the forum, it makes it difficult to do some of the following:
a) someone with a 1024x768 resolution will see that as completely differently to that of 1280x1024 (my res)
b) You have left some of the flow out by removing the continuation of the banner into the rest of the forum.

Ok so the banner is all well and good to look at. Except on the right hand side which you've left blank. To kill 2 birds with one stone, I suggest the moving of the menu buttons over to that side. As the menu buttons look completely ugly when placed within the banner. So the only real option is to move them. That will solve the problem of the empty right hand banner and the menu buttons looking ugly.

OK i seem to see a lack of PM/Toolbar area. This can cause problems, unless there is somewhere that I cannot see they are. And then, this is a bad thing because I'm searching for it and cannot find it. If there is one, it needs to be a lot more obvious.

I've already mentioned the backing of the forum, it's bare so it's easy to work with. However, you lose the flow from the banner into the forum making it look odd really.

The on/offs are fine. The headers/footers are fine. I don't mind the shadow, but I think you could lose it. Though it's not really doing any damage to the skin as such, just a personal preference.

Content is nice, its contained and not excessive. Thats brilliant, one of the few forums I've seen that I could sit and actually be interested in it. However, you do have a few typos

Quote:

laugh about a few stuff,

Should be:
laugh about a few things,

Quote:

Discuss anything graphics wised.

Remove the d on 'wised'.

Thats it though. I mean, this forum has a lot of potential really, just a few minor skin adjustments and then you are sweet basically. All you need to do is advertise, get your forum out there with a nice community database to get things rolling. I may join up in the future, miss having a forum to relax and talk to people at.

Basically, want to point out something though. Since you have a nice skin, it looks good and feels good, clean and pretty professional. It's easy on the eyes and whatnot. Try and think of something original and completely unique to add to the forum that will make it stand out from other graphics forums. That will drag members.

Thanks for the rate and pointing out the typos, I'll be sure to fix them! {Smile}

The banner ans shadows under the headers/footers was actually an inspiration from another gfx/coding forum. So that's what got me into doing that. Kinda link blanka was inspired by f5. {Smile}

There is a pm bar on the menu gradient (under the banner). I haven't got any complaints or anything from the members so I'm guessing they can see it well. {Tongue Out}

I appreciate that you said that the skin was "professional". I only started gfx like 6 months ago so that really boosts me up. Also, for saying that the forum has potential. I put a lot of hard work into this forum so yeah, Thanks!

I hope you do join, really could use a good critique like you. {Grin} hanks once again. {Smile}
