pmwww | YGO: Duelists Realm - Has been deleted Please lock (11th Sep 08 at 10:43am UTC) A Yu-Gi-Oh! Forum | | http://ygo.vforums.co.uk
The forum has been under allot of work, same with the main site.
I have gotten all the bugs fixed, just a few form codes I sorta messed up and Ross helped me fix them!
Now this is based upon Yu-Gi-Oh! and popular cartoon show, and Trading Card Game. Much like Pokemon, but way cooler, and awesome!
I know the wallpaper is messed up a bit, I still have to fix that.
its 5:30 in the morning right now, and do not feel like fixing it up. I am about to be going to bed here in a few.
Thanks,
(For the site http://ygodr.co.nr I still have a few problems while clicking on the Advertise link it goes to a blank page even though I checked the link, and the code 5 several different times and it looks just fine, When you click on the Rules link it goes to the rules thread. Sooooo...... I have to figure out why it does that. I figured it out, I accidentally added another / in the link )

pm | Re: YGO: Duelists Realm (11th Sep 08 at 11:57am UTC) | | Its one of your best skins yet I must say. The wallpaper looks fine on my screen! However, the banner could use some work and the black and white of the tables in that separate your boards/categories is rather blinding!
Then mix the black/white with the blue and it isn't the most pleasant thing to look at! The menu buttons could be set to text instead of using default ones which are ugly!
I don't like the on/off icons, the theme looks odd. I never liked YGO as I preferred pokemon (still love pokemon lol!). I looked at some of your boards and stuff, I think you need more rules describing how Duels and stuff are carried out, you also need a bit more content to really get the forum going.
So in total:
Fix the skin up so its not so contrasty Finish the content right off, like, seriously sit down and THINK about what you want to include into it and make the most awsome system. Research others and things like that to get the best and most unique system there is.

pmwww | Re: YGO: Duelists Realm (11th Sep 08 at 7:24pm UTC) | | The banner will be done a little bit later, done, I will be cutting out more cards, and adding them into, it. The banner is more of a Spellcaster type.
The tables if I knew how to change the tables on the site to blue I would, but for some reason the changing of the tables only work in Internet Explore, and not in Fire Fox, Opera, nor Safari. If I knew then I would change the forum tables to blue.
the on/off icons are of Yugi Moto (main character in the original series) and Yugi's Millennium puzzle is the on icon.
The Dueling system, I thought about it long and hard even before I created the forum. And actually all I am doing is using the basic format system that people use in Yu-Gi-Oh tournament duels, and non tournament duels. And I really cannot change that as any other way would be stupid.
In the past I have made 3 YGO forums and they failed miserably, because I did not think it through. But this one actually took a whole week to think up everything, gathering information, setting up the system, the rules I just copied from my other forum.
Now about Pokemon, I used to play it way before I even played or even herd of YGO. But I never really got used to the battling system it was all confusing, Still is! I have read the manuals that come with the pack and well, I still do not get it. I find that YGO is allot easier to play and more fun.
Thank you for your rate. I will see to that some things will be changed. If you know how to change the table color let me know (I do not mean the forum I know how to do that but I mean the main site.)
edit: Ok I have figured out the code for the border color for the site, so both the site, and the forum now have the blue color.

pmwww | Re: YGO: Duelists Realm (14th Sep 08 at 7:06am UTC) | | This was like 6 years ago, when I was with (you know what service ) I had little experience with forums, besides modding, never really made my forum til 6 years ago. But I had them open for months at a time. member came and gone, joined never posted and just joined and thats it. My Final Fantasy Nation was open for 4 years, took allot of hard work and dedication, as well as hard working staff too!
So I know a week is not long enough, I have to keep on promoting my forum to get it big, Right now, I have advertised with a big YGO site, setokaiba.com which is really neat, but they have PHP/Java/Perl etc for their game, and mine is OTBD (Online Text Based Duel) That is why I have my system the way it is, because its short, it goes with the actually YGO series like the battle system.
