City Background for Logo (19th Jul 08 at 5:09am UTC)
Forum URL: http://ultimamech.vforums.co.uk/

OK i took a shot at this, but i had seemed to fail, really bad. BUt i am currently experimenting in making a Mech type forum for an rp, and i need a logo done, and here is the one i did, or at least tried to do...

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c51/dog199200/mech/city.jpg

Im my opinion, the mechs in it look really good, but the background doesn't match and i was wondering if someone could make me like a background of like a 3d seeming, futuristic city that i could use as the background of the image..

Thank you so much {Smile}

Also it would be best if the city background was dark so it would match better with my dark blue and black theme.

It's nothing really fansy but I had a shot at it for you.

I found it difficult to place the text in a situation like this - also hard to design this way, a banner for a forum is weird considering the whole forum has to be based off the banner, but you're trying to base the banner off the forum.

If there is any modifications tell me, if you don't want to use it you don't have to. It's not my best work due to the criteria (makes it difficult). The size I based off what your current one was as you didn't give dimensions.

NOTE: Nearly all of this was made by me. The mech was a googled stock which I cut and the backgroudn is a mixture of several stocks. The explosions, car, shadows, etc were all made by me and it was quite a trial to get it done properly with some techniques I've never tried before {Tongue Out}

I hope you like it.

I attempted to make it look graffiti like, I'll probably rework the text if required simply because I look at that piece and to be frank; I HATE it {Tongue Out} However, it's my own work which as you can say yourself, every designer hates their own work... always.

I don't mind that he didn't use the request form, he got the point he wanted across {Tongue Out} though I understand that it's required to use it for obvious reasons - however, it wasn't incoherently written though {Tongue Out}

Could you possibly make the text a contrasting shade or subtly brighter? It looks pretty cool on the wall but you don't see it at first glance - once the eye moves over the whole thing, thats when you notice it. So maybe bring some more focus to it. The explosion is a tad too distant to register as an explosion but I like the banner as a whole.

And using a request form is a must, whether or not a request is coherent. Otherwise, we might as well chuck all policies and let people do whatever they want.

haha, I dunno, making the text look obvious on a black and white banner especially with the vast array of colour change and various greys, it's difficult to make the text stand out and look good at the same time.

That's why I attempted it as graffiti, I dunno, I may go back and take a review of the piece if Dwight wants me to, I mean, I have some other things on my hands at current and that was kind of a quick break before I went back to do some of my working projects that are of higher priority at the moment.

However, other designers are welcome to take a shot at this request if desired, or to do whatever {Tongue Out}

sorry for the late reply and it looks great but i have a few requested changes if you would, Could you make the background of it a blue to match my theme and then could you make the mech like a metallic black so that it seems to pop out. also can you make the text look like a sliver. With these few changes it would be perfect and sorry fopr the late reply, i haven't had internet access.

Sorry, i'm waay to busy to do what you asked me to. Even though it'll only take a few minutes I barely have time to sit down at the moment.

if you would like, I can send you the .psd files and you can change it to suit you. Just PM me if you would like that.
