The motherboard was causing 90% of my problems. When trying to dual boot an os or go into safe mode the timer would freeze when I would press any key. And I was stupid to put ubuntu as the main os and it freezes I can't install win7 on my new hdd. So tomorrow I have to take my new hdd and take it back to staples and get my money back as it was not the problem.
