antibiotics ... (11th Apr 09 at 8:23am UTC)
What if antibiotics were never discovered? What would our world be like? Would you be around today? What would our civilization be like? Many people do not know where antibiotics come from. They come from bacteria...mold.

I'm interested in what if questions. xD.

My mom, and all of my grandparents are allergic to antibiotics. xD I'm not, but intravenous immune globulin I can never have, and it is used for a lot of organ transplants and to treat a lot of infections. I had Kawasaki as a kid so I had to take very, very high doses of intravenous immune globulin; in turn it cured me but blocked me from using it again. Luckily, today there are new alternates. (I know Kawasaki is an Asian condition common in Asians only, but for some reason, I got it. Reason of how is unknown.) Why IVG worked for it, nobody really knows, not even medical professors completely understand it.
