pmwww | Maybe you guys can help me!? nevermind (see post) (17th Feb 09 at 11:56pm UTC) :-/ | | Right well I have a Lexar 4GB PRO Duo memory stick. This is for my PSP (PlayStation portable.) on Friday of last week, I inserted the card into the card reader, it worked fine. Well Saturday and so on, it acts like it cannot read the card anymore. I insert it and it prompts me to Format it. Well I don't need to as I do not have a backup of all the games on there (That is what I am trying to do is have it backed up. As well as putting some movies on it including YouTube videos.)
it says this when I press cancel for the format:
"Check to see if the disk and drive are connected properly (Which I checked it is.), make sure that the disk is not read only (There is no option for that) and then try again. For more information, search Help for read-only files and how to change them."
Now I created a shortcut to the desktop for the drive. I right click properties, and "read-only" IS unchecked.
I also made sure there is not a read-only switch on the card. (Which there isn't.)
I also tried to uninstall the drivers and let windows reinstall them, and it still does the same thing. I even updated the drivers and it does the same thing.
I just don't know what to do. I did all I could do. I even asked on The Vista Forums, and no one seems to be helping me there. The mod says he thinks it's a compatibility issue and I know it's now. I read the sites he gave me, but none of them worked.
Thanks in advanced
I bought a USB card reader instead, it works.
Thanks anyways.
