pmYesh im sneaky! | Speed up FireFox statuptime (17th Dec 08 at 2:53pm UTC) Just a few tips you can try | | 1. Firefox loads slow because its always checking for updates for addons and such.
tools > options > advanced > update
there 3 check boxes, uncheck the last two. The first is fine, but can be unchecked too.
2.
ON your icon for Firefox, Desktop maybe, if you use
rightclick > properties > shortcut
Target :
add /Prefetch:1
so it will be something like
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" /Prefetch:1
Should speed up firefox startup time quite a bit.
