| | I got a new guitar :D (11th May 08 at 2:49am) | | My mom took me to a guitar store today and let me purchase a guitar. I got one that is very similar to my bass, but it's soo much better  I'll probably have a picture or two of it up later also.
So far I've learned to play a part of the solo from 'Folsom Prison Blues', the begining of 'Smoke on the Water' some of 'Stairway to Heaven' and the begining of 'Sunshine of Your Love.'
I'm so used to playing bass, since I've done that for the past year every morning so it's a bit weird for me. The strings aren't as far apart as they are on the bass so I find myself missing a string every now and then I also never really had to do any real chords on bass, everything came with one finger So it's taking some time to get used to.

If I sit there and think about it I can get them and get the right sound eventually, but I wont be able to put them together quick enough for a real piece of music.
Like for example, the song 'Hurt' by Johnny Cash, I've got every chord down. I get get the right chord out when it's called for, but I can't play it fast enough to get it sound like the real song.
