pmwww | | Religion (26th Dec 07 at 3:14am UTC) | | Before I start, I would just like to request that you please don't bash in this thread.
I'm just curious as to how those of you who are religious became religious.
I was born into Christianity. My brother was also, but he doesn't believe in God anymore. I, however, still do believe.
I also have some friends who have atheist parents who decided on their own to be religious.
So I'm just wondering, did you decide to be religious on your own, were you born into it, both, neither, or did you grow out of it? [That's the reason I made it a checkbox poll. ]

pmwww | | Re: Religion (26th Dec 07 at 5:02am UTC) | | I was born into Christianity, My mom is a Christan and so are my Bro's. So I believe in God all the way. We don't go to church any more, but our faith is still at large. I do want to go to church but sadly I have to work in the morning on Sunday from 7 Am to 3 PM.

pmwww | | Re: Religion (26th Dec 07 at 10:46am UTC) | | I wasn't really born into it - my grandfather was a catholic, but he converted to marry my gran when he was a lot younger. There's been a certain element of religion in my family though, i went to a school that did church services every so often (easter, christmas etc) but i've never really attended church unless if was for a "special" occasion: weddings, funerals, christening etc.
Part of me wants to be religious, but there's something stopping me. Not put my finger on it yet though

pmmsnicq | | Re: Religion (26th Dec 07 at 4:46pm UTC) | | When I was very young, my family became religious. When went to a rather small Church in town.
I eventually left after a couple of years though. Don't really believe a lot of it. Science's fault. I only go on occasions like Christmas, Easter and such. Oh, and obviously Weddings and Funerals.
The rest of my family still go though. =/
