Regarding recent downtime & lag | | See here for ad-free info
As I'm sure many of you are aware our server has been having a number of difficulties over the past couple of days but most noticeably tonight where I have encountered 3 separate downtimes, the longest of which seemed to be for 2 hours. I've spoken to our hosting company however so far they've been unable to find the cause of this issue, although they will continue to try and find and fix it.
I am now in the process of having a brand new server setup which all forums will be transferred to. Unfortunately I cannot give an ETA for this new server but I will be aiming to ensure that full functionality is restored before the start of the bank holiday weekend. But I cannot make any promises on that.

Since this server seems to be coping OK it's unlikely that the bulk of forums will be transferred before next week. This is because they will perform badly during the transfer and as such I want to do it when the service is relatively quiet. I was planning on just completing the data transfer for support but in doing so it stopped support working entirely leaving little choice but to push ahead with transferring all forums. So far 1/3 of forums have been transferred.
