My Board Won't Load! (15th Dec 09 at 11:50pm UTC)
Forum URL: http://newecw.vforums.co.uk/
Experienced By: Me
Browser: Mozilla Firefox
Operating System: Windows Vista

Problem: The board won't load. It keeps saying that the server is down. And at times it also just shows a blank page.

Hi,

Congratulations, you managed to delete your forums only skin {Grin} A task which I thought was impossible {Wink}

I've patched up some bits so that if that happens it attempts to load the system default. I'll take a look at the logs in the morning to try and work out how you managed to do it. But the forum shows up now {Smile}

Hi,

I managed to find and fix the cause of this.

You hadn't deleted the only skin, other skins existed but they were set to only be accessible by members. So when you deleted the default skin (Azure Accent - the last action you took before it went wrong) you removed the only guest accessible skin, an action which was supposed to be impossible. I have added an extra check to the delete skin page which ensures there is an alternative skin to use for guests before deleting the current one.

My apologies for any inconvenience caused.
