Broken image in very top header of post? (7th Oct 08 at 9:46pm UTC) Resolved

I see a broken image from PhotoBucket. http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x20/magedesigns/misc/image-0041.jpg and this is the image: http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x20/magedesigns/halo/planet Now when that image is completed it comes out to be this: http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x20/magedesigns/halo/planethalo_affiliate.gif Now that is the only image that has planet in it. In my album of http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x20/magedesigns/halo/ and when I delete that thread, the image is gone. But when I re-make that thread it comes back. What is wrong?

It's coming from the description meta tag. However as that has a max length of ~ 255 characters the end is getting chopped off. I'll look at ensuring HTML taken from posts and put into there doesn't get parsed. Now fixed

Ahh ok, But I edited the post. How was it maxed out? I usually put the "Rules" in the forum name area, then press on "Post Message" Then I press the edit button. and delete out all the blank areas and put the rules in. And why would it go in the very top header above the ads? Thank you for fixing it

As I say, it was in the meta description tag, one of the tags added for the benefit of search engines. This tag is populated with a relevant description on each page. On view topic pages this description comes from the contents of the first post (either the message or description).
