People usually talk of irritation on boards to friends about a staff member and they'd prefer that not to be read by an outside source as they have their right to opinion. Same for a message to the admin or another staff member or friend about a confidental matter such as email, phone number, address (like I moved and I PM my friend instead of emailing her cause she checks PMs on that site more).
