Teen Revival (29th Sep 08 at 11:03pm UTC)
Teen Revival is a forum for Christian teens and young adults to meet new friends and grow in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Not opening for a week or so, 'coz Tricky {Tongue Out} hasn't posted anything yet and Car is going away.

Aside from the fact that I am not Christian and have no intentions of following the religion, I can see several flaws in the forum already.

One, the skin is boring as well as the fact that I completely don't understand the logo. While the skin may be boring though, it has a slight elegance to it, my only suggestion is to liven things up a bit - maybe make the background a little less over powering while your there as well.

Continuing on, there is a lot of things that I find content restrictive shall we say. While it has that Christian sense in the content side of things there isn't much there to interest me, or others really.

I think, from the name that this forum is about REVIVING people to go back to the lord or whoever, shouldn't that be more what the forum focuses on doing rather than just preaching it? There isn't anything like, say fact sheets, fun things to do there is there? No god games or whatnot, just, debate the bible basically which to me - and people who AREN'T religious, are not going to be interested in.

To me, this forum would not and will not turn my religious, if this forum could get me interested in the lord - then you would have been successful, rather, I'm annoyed that a revival campaign isn't structured properly, nor does it have particularly much thought put into getting people interested again which is surely, what this forum is about right?

Basically, this forum is focused more on Christian teens, than non-Christian. As you can see, there is more coming, and there will be a competitions boards etc.

I will make a better background image to better fit the forum, and will redo the smilies when I have the time.

The logo is meant to be the cross, and the lines represent revival going out to all the world. The cross is when we come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour and to represent us as Christians taking up and cross, and also the room for only each one of us at the cross. {Tongue Out} That sorta doesn't make sense. {Cheesy}

I understood the cross bit - but the lines coming off it. I dunno, if it's focused at those that are already Christian, then why is it called revival? Shouldn't it be something else?

I have to disagree with Sven. Personally I think the design is great; simple yet sleek, professional yet casual. The lines coming off the logo are a nice touch; it makes me think of technology, which, combined with the cross, I see to mean connecting with God in today's world.

As for being called "Teen Revival", I quite like the name. Sven, believing in a religion and leading a religious life are two different things. Many people see fully opening up to their religion and becoming closer to God a form of revival, and so I think the name fits well. {Smile}

Thanks, Marc! {Smile}

@Sven - Revival must start at the house of God.

Ok, well, I see what Marc says - but then, I had to have it explained to me, and I'm sure many other people would too. That's what I'm saying.

While the design might be casual and professional and all of that - there isn't much to it, and I know that is what skins are all about these days, and I never said it was a terrible skin, however, I think that this skin could be a lot better - especially around the banner and a few things like that.

But then, this is my opinion and not being religious in the slightest I guess I don't really understand some of the themes/symbols on the forum.

Wow, good job {Smile} you guys got onto the Features list!

Its an alright skin. I am not much of a person to like light skins, but seeing how its a Christian forum it has to be light {Tongue Out} I don't join much Christian forums. Yes, I am a Christian but I am not "into" it as much anymore. But I say you should have a good chance about your forum being Popular.

I'd suggest getting your Church friends to join your forum too {Smile} Get your friends, and your friends' friends to join, and so on. Then your forum will be doing awesome. As Christianity is strong, with allot of people.

Good Luck!
