I always get really good ideas for movies, or books, or even just to write about generally. But I never write them down. Also, last night I had an extremely vivid dream, but can't remember the most important part of it. If I had written down about the dream when I had woken up this morning, I would not be trying to remember what had happened right now. I wouldn't use a notebook for those purposes, maybe to jot down a design idea or logo for a site, but that's about it. I suppose the reason I don't write more often is because I've been so turned off to the idea by schools; from grade 6 through grade 8 I'd been forced to write Personal Journal entries every night for English class, and I grew to despise writing quite a bit for a while. Of course I use a notebook. Multiple, in fact... I have a black one that has most, if not all, my poetry in it. I have a light green one that has the notes, songs, and script for the musical I have been working on in it. I have a three subject one that has all the notes and to-do lists for my programming, separated by project. I have a legal pad that my friends call the Improv Bible, because it has everything you could ever possibly want to know about our improv troupe written in it. I don't write down my ides, but I do forget them. They all usually come back to me at random times. The only time I write down ideas is concepts for designs.
