Neat Bread Trick. (20th Jan 08 at 12:39pm UTC)
Not sure how it is outside the US, but this is common in the US, I known it ever sense I was really little. xD People are suprised that I remember these by heart.

Made on Monday - Blue Tie
Made on Tuesday - Green Tie
Made on Thursday - Red Tie
Made on Friday - White Tie
Made on Saturday - Yellow Tie

I know it's been a chain letter in the past and all, but I know it's true as one of my dad's friend was a grocery store manager =P. My grandma has a masters in the culinary arts, and my old neighbor was a professional chef. So yeah...

But one thing most people do like when they go shopping on Tuesday they buy the green tie, I buy the blue tie, how do I know that green tie ain't from last week? =P.

Don't you just have a best before date on the packaging?

Bakery products here, no. If it was candy, etc yeah, but cake, pies, cookies, bread, etc no. Just an expiration date.

Most of our products are hand wrapped and made locally. We don't buy our bakery items from outsourcing really. (Cakes, pies, bread, etc)

Wow, I thought you were talking about ties for suits at first.

That's interesting. I've never noticed different ties or whatnot on baked goods.
