World Cup (5th Jun 10 at 2:11pm UTC)
The FIFA World Cup starts next Thursday in South Africa, and I'm curious as to whether any of our members are soccer/football fans. I personally am not one for watching sporting events, but I did play soccer as a kid.

Is anybody here going to be following the games fanatically?

I won't be following it fanatically, I will probably look at the results after games, or at the end of the week or something. But hey ho - who knows? {Tongue Out}

I have a job afterall to work at! :/

I'll probably watch a couple of my country's matches, but I'm one of those who only watch it if my country is doing well if not I'll just check the results when the games are over, hehehe. But it doesn't look good for our national team at the moment, some of the main players are injured and the two last test matched they've played in SA the last week they lost, but hey anything can happen in 9 days right {Unsure}

Can't watch their first match next Saturday, but I'll be checking up on them on the mobile {Grin}

Goooooooooo Denmark, hehehe.

@UK Users. Have you seen the deals that the various companies have?
O2 -> Top up £15 on sim card, every time England score, they give you £5.
Toshiba -> Buy a laptop, if England win the world cup, you get your money back

That's pretty awesome. Though, what are England's chances?

Haha, I think that's why the promotions are there. They know the chances of them actually having to give away all those free laptops is slim, so they'll make a big profit off of it. {Tongue Out}
