pmwww | | huge computer problem [fixed] (22nd Feb 10 at 11:50pm UTC) | | nevermind start up repair fixed it, and it was a disk error.
Ok so for some odd reason my computer shut down on me this morning I did not k pw until 1 in the after noon. Now I go and turn my computer on thinking that one of my cats accidentally pulled on the power cord but the cord was still plugged in. So it goes through it's normal process and then the safe mode options pop up now it gives me 30 seconds to choose normal mode or safe mode. Well due to some odd reason I cannot choose safe mode or press any button at all not even 123 or the timer will freeze and just sit there it sat there for 24 hours when I did not wAnt to deal with my computer.Well after the seconds go to 0 it goes to the chkdsk utility so I let it do it and it told me tht it cannot look into the volume because it's locked and a recent hardware or software change is causing the problem and it tells me to do a systm restore. Well I did not install anything nor did I change any hardware. Well it goes to a black screen then the cursor shows up and nothing else comes up. So I went to get the external DVD/cd player popped in my win7 cd and restarted my laptop. I then pressed F12 and clicked on boot from cd well that did not work as it went to the windows error recovery screen so I tried it again and chose USB instead did not work. I then tried to use my ubuntu USB installer and it goes to the language selection and again if I press any key the timer stops and freezes. After I let it go through the count down it just went to a blank screen and nothing else. I do not know what to do now. It seems as my computer is down for good now as i've exhausted all possible solutions, the only thing I see now is getting a new hdd and I have no money as of now to get one... I guess getting a ps3 and an iPod was not such a good idea now. so looks like I am out for awhile... if there is a way for me to fix this problem lt me know (as long as it's free:P) | |
