windows 7 beta (10th Mar 09 at 8:40pm UTC)
I love how fast it is - and the taskbar is really efficient. Also the icons on the right are smaller and slicker now. I just hope though that the final version doesn't look like Vista {Tongue Out}

It's alright. I had it dual booted with Vista, it was terribly slow... It ate up allot of my resources. Windows 7 alone took up a GB of RAM, I only had 2GB at the time now I have 4. and I could not get on my wireless, I had to hook myself up to the DSL in order for me to be connected to the internet. So a few days of using it, I deleted out the partition, getting 50GB of my HDD back. I would rather have it on it's own system, but I don't have any other computer that is up to date. Meaning I have a Windows 95 and a Windows 3.1 {Tongue Out} besides my laptop, and my moms desktop.

Slow? {Shocked}

I have Vista on my notebook and Leopard on the macbook and XP on the PC - so I tested with XP - I created a dual boot with XP - that desktop machine has only 1 GB of Ram. Win 7 loaded superfast and its been working flawlessly. I've already done music, movie, photoshop, documents and other stuff on it. All apps run quick [yea photoshop was a bit slow with only 1 GB of Ram but thats not Win 7's fault]. And it picked up my wireless network flawlessly as well. I don't know why you are having the "slow" issue. I totally plan on buying the full version when the OS comes out end 09.

Yeah... Don't ask me why, it just did...

I will most likely buy it when it comes out too. Having it on it's own Machine will most likely show a better experience. I'm not the kind of person to hate OS's just because everyone else does. I have to use it in order for me to know what I don't like about it, and only a few days of using it I could not experience it right, and having it as a dual boot as well as a Virtual Machine, is not good enough.
