pmwww | Babies! (13th Jul 08 at 12:41am UTC) | | So, my sister has just been driven down to hospital, as she's in her 21st hour of labour and very soon to give birth. This means that as my mum, step-dad and her boyfriend have all gone with her i'm on call should they need an extra car. It's 20 to 2 in the morning so i could be looking at a very late one!
Have any of you had experience with newborn children, ie younger brothers/sisters, any nieces/nephews etc? Were you excited at the prospect or worried at how much sleep you'd lose?
I'm rather excited, personally. While i'm in no position to have a child myself (not enough money, or a stable house of my own, plus the girlfriend has ruled it out for a long time ) it's definitely something i'd like to experience: passing something of me onto a new life, and helping it through it's years on the earth. It's a big responsibility but one i'd like to try one day | |
