(13th Jul 08 at 12:41am UTC) So, my sister has just been driven down to hospital, as she's in her 21st hour of labour and very soon to give birth. This means that as my mum, step-dad and her boyfriend have all gone with her i'm on call should they need an extra car. It's 20 to 2 in the morning so i could be looking at a very late one! Have any of you had experience with newborn children, ie younger brothers/sisters, any nieces/nephews etc? Were you excited at the prospect or worried at how much sleep you'd lose? I'm rather excited, personally. While i'm in no position to have a child myself (not enough money, or a stable house of my own, plus the girlfriend has ruled it out for a long time ) it's definitely something i'd like to experience: passing something of me onto a new life, and helping it through it's years on the earth. I thought babies were born with their names lol.
