pmwww | | Re: MB/GB? (21st Apr 08 at 10:53pm UTC) | | | so what is it for 5,369MB? On my MP3 player, its 1GB and it says I have 131MB left. So I put it all on my laptop, it was at 99.5 GB after I got all my programs installed, and all the programs that I will not use like napster, google desktop, etc. now that I put all my songs on it now shows 83.5GB, yeh I know it is still allot, but how can I reduce the file size of the songs?

pmwww | | Re: MB/GB? (22nd Apr 08 at 7:32pm UTC) | | ahh ok, Ive noticed something weird too, I am keeping a close eye on it too. I had 88.9 GB left, then I turned my laptop on this morning, and it said I have 60.5 GB left, and as soon as I get home in an hour from school, I will also be checking up on it to see were it is at. Its strange because in the add/remove area said that all the programs combined are 2.17 GB total, and then I have over 120 songs on my computer, and it showed after I moved the music files from my MP3 Player to my laptop and it showed I had 88.9 GB left. What do you think could be causing it?
(As you can tell I am paying more attention to my laptop more then my desktop, that is my moms.)

pmwww | | Re: MB/GB? (23rd Apr 08 at 3:59am UTC) | | oh ok I see. And for some reason in Windows Media Player 11, the songs skip like a cd and they were copied from an MP3 player, so I do not know why its doing that. I even turned off the EQ and it still does it. Normally I would have it set to Rock, but it was skipping allot using that, so I went to normal did not change So I turned it off. But last night it was working well.
I know why I had set the battery power to save energy, and lowered the performance, I now have it balanced out so it now sounds good.

Use Google!
1 GB / 1 MB
It tells you the answer. :]
Also keep in mind, over time part of your hardrive can "die" which is why they recommend backups and new computers every so often. Small parts of your Harddrive dies, memory goes down, but the computer usually can retrieve that data. Defraging your computer makes sure your data is always in a safe place.
