I quote from the TOS:
Section 3 - Advertisements
All message boards are funded by adverts shown on user pages. In order to comply with the terms of the provider of said adverts, adverts must:
* Not be tampered with
* Be clearly visible when the page loads
* Not be accompanied by your own paid advertisements
Is that still the same if the page has ad-free?
I was thinking that -are you allowed to have say, Google Ad-words if you've paid for the ad-free?
I would have thought you could, because when there's ad-free the ads are removed completely from the page, so you're not breaking any Google rules...though you might break some vF rule.

Aye, it's making sure it wouldn't be in violation of the TOS that's the kicker![]()

Google don't like having multiple ad-sense accounts associated with the same domain (even if one set isn't active). However if you have ad-free then there's nothing to stop you from using another advertising company.
Awesome...
so other ads are ok, just not google![]()

Instead of another ad company, what about if people were paid to hold their ads by a single company or the like? I suppose it'd be similar?

That would be fine.
