Is there a reason new forum signups are disabled?

At present they are disabled due to abuse by spammers (and/or spam bots).
We will be reviewing these later this week.

It'll be nice to be able to welcome new members again. My area is now starting to generate some interest, and these boards look ideal to discuss our problems and challenges.

Run a support forum at Breathing For Life would like the opportunity for another forum here, understand the spam issue it's a shame genuine users suffer when a solution that keeps VF viable is sought.

Registrations are now open, while we review if the measures put in place are sufficient to stop these being abused by spammers.
