Problem:

It seems this same person is able to register again and again. It's a spam account, and I keep on banning and deleting them. I'm using the vForums register system after I figured out how they are using the API register page on my site to get around. they still are able to register.

I am not understanding this at all. I don't want to limit sign ups or anything, but how is this person able to do this?

I did change the permissions on my register.php so I don't see them still able to use that page...

Hi Nick,

The IP address you are banning there is that of your web server. Which means the user is registering via the API. The API will (unless you tell it otherwise) use your servers IP address when registering a member and is capable of bypassing the normal forum bans.
I would suggest checking how your register page on your website is setup.
