Clock changes - Posted By TCB (circlebar) on 31st Oct 11 at 7:27pm
A pretty basic problem I know {Embarassed} sorry, but we are new to all this stuff.
Please - how do I change the time on our forum to GMT ? I have changed the Forum settings "Default Time Zone" field to 0 from +1 and that seems to have changed the normal post timings, but PMs and the time shown at the bottom left on the page are still in BST (GMT +1). {Confused}

I can't find any other setting to change. How does it work ?
Thanks.

Hi TCB. Your forum times adjust to the time set on your computer automatically. Check if your computer time is correct. Do you live in a GMT +1 zone?

My computer is set to GMT and the computer time is correct at 8:30 ish at the moment. {Unsure}

And interestingly, when I previewed that message, the time showing was 9:32. {Confused}

Hi,

What web browser are you using? And have you completely restarted it (closed all windows, tabs & any extensions) since the time on your computer changed?
Can you also try going and modifying your profile (no need to make any changes - just go there and click the save button at the bottom) and seeing if that solves the problem.

Computer gets re-booted every day so it wasn't that.

Have now "modified" my profile as you suggest and that seems to have re-aligned everything to be correct. {Smile} {Smile}
Thanks Ross
